The LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads provides therapy for patients up to 8 years of age or 25kg (55lbs). The LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads are meant for use with the LIFEPAK CR Plus, LIFEPAK Express, LIFEPAK 1000, or the LIFEPAK® 500 AEDs with a pink connector (standard on AEDs built after 8/9/02).

The LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads are smaller than the adult electrode pads, reducing the energy dosage delivered by a factor of four. This means that if your LIFEPAK is set up to deliver a dosage of 200, 300, 360J using the adult electrode pads, the dose will in turn be approximately 50, 75, 86J with the LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads.

The LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads are for those wanting to include children in their AED programs. While few children will ever be in need of defibrillation, the LIFEPAK Infant/Child Electrode Pads provides you with the necessary tools to save the life of a young child.

Please note that the biphasic LIFEPAK® 500 AEDs that do not have pink connector plugs (inner lining on the AED's electrode receptacle) can be upgraded to accept the low-energy electrodes.
