The LIFEPAK CR Plus is an amazing AED from that proves there's good reason 90% of rescue professionals use Physio-Control LIFEPAK AEDs. The LIFEPAK CR Plus features exceptional simplicity, portability, minimal maintenance, an eight-year warranty, escalating therapy, and more. The list goes on, and as a result of Physio-Control's meticulous attention to detail, the LIFEPAK CR Plus is most often the AED we recommend for our customers.

The LIFEPAK CR Plus has been designed with both the layperson and trained professional in mind. Combining Physio-Control's escalating therapy (recently recommended by the American Heart Association's 2010 Guidelines) with both simplicity and portability, the LIFEPAK CR Plus is perfect for anyone looking to implement an AED program, large or small.

Simplicity is key in a traumatic situation, particularly for untrained responders. Physio-Control naturally took this into account and purposefully designed one of the easiest AEDs to use with the LIFEPAK CR Plus. Simply press the release button to open the lid and the LIFEPAK CR Plus automatically turns on. Once opened, the LIFEPAK CR Plus delivers clear voice prompts to walk you through the rescue process.

The size of the LIFEPAK CR Plus is also perfect and makes for fantastic portability. Weighing a meager four-and-a-half pounds, the LIFEPAK CR Plus is one of the lightest AEDs on the market. In rescue situations in which travel may be required, the LIFEPAK CR Plus performs wonderfully.

The LIFEPAK CR Plus shares the same technology used by Physio-Control's more complex AEDs that run over $30,000 per device. As many rescue professionals will attest, Physio-Control is preferred due to their patented ADAPTIV biphasic waveform and escalating therapy. This means that the first shock is delivered at 200 Joules, and, should this initial shock not start the patient's heart, the LIFEPAK CR Plus will then escalate its energy output up to 360 Joules. In short, if the first shock doesn't work, the energy output increases for greater chances of reviving the heart. Makes sense (and it works).

Simplicity also extends to the maintenance of the LIFEPAK CR Plus. The CHARGE-PAK (the battery system for the LIFEPAK CR Plus) and electrodes ship to you with identical expiration dates, allowing you to keep track of only one date rather than two. Once the expiration date is reached (around two years), simply replace the two at the same time.

The LIFEPAK CR Plus also has the lowest price for electrodes and battery accessories, making it the most cost-efficient AED on the market when considering long-term maintenance and costs.

Along with keeping watch of expiration dates, AED owners are often required by law to regularly check their device to ensure their device is in working order. Physio-Control once again has you covered. The LIFEPAK CR Plus performs basic self-checks weekly, in addition to a more thorough diagnostic test conducted on a monthly basis. Maintenance for the LIFEPAK CR Plus is one of the easiest and least time-consuming out of any available.
