A Amityville, New York youth soccer coach is being hailed a hero after saving seventh-grader. Kiavelyn, Altagracia was trying out for the Edmund W. Miles Middle School team when she suddenly collapsed on the field.
The team's coach, Isha Hamilton, rushed over to the 12-year-old girl and realized she was unconscious and had stopped breathing. "Her lips were turning very blue, her hands looked like there was nothing circulating, no blood," Hamilton said. "It was very scary. Honestly, inside I was screaming and terrified and just hoping for the best."
After starting CPR and using a defibrillators, Altagracia began breathing again.
