One shock from an AED saved a college student's life earlier this month at Georgian College in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. The student collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest while attending class on November 8th. As classmates called 911, one faculty member performed CPR while another retrieved a nearby AED. From one simple shock, the AED was able to stabilize the woman's heart rhythm. Grey County paramedics transported the woman to the hospital, where she is still recovering.

Everyone at AEDs Today congratulates the quick thinking of the two faculty members that resulted in a saved life and we wish the speediest of recoveries for the young woman that suffered from sudden cardiac arrest.
