When you hear the term “refurbished AED,” what comes to mind? Most likely, you think of some AED that’s been used extensively and then wiped down, reboxed, and shipped out again. At AEDs Today, this could not be farther from the truth. Refurbished AEDs provide the same level of protection as their new counterparts, but at a fraction of the price. The fact is, there are probably a few things that you think you know about refurbished AEDs that are off the mark.

One of the most common questions we hear from customers is the difference between a new and refurbished AED. This is a great question, particularly as the consideration of a refurbished AED or defibrillator can best enable a lifesaving device to be implemented in programs with tighter and more conservative budgets.
