Physio-Control's LIFEPAK 1000 is easily the most rugged AED on the market today. The LIFEPAK 1000 is Physio-Control's most rugged AED, received an IP55 rating. For those not familiar with IP ratings, this means it provides complete protection (limited ingress permitted) against foreign bodies, such as dust, while also providing protection against low pressure water jets from all directions. In short, this is an AED that can take a beating in the harshest of conditions.

The LIFEPAK 1000 features Physio-Control's escalating ADAPTIV biphasic technology, providing a range of therapy of up to 360 Joules. What this means is that should your patient not respond to defibrillation, the AED will increase the Joules it delivers in hopes of best reviving the patient. This feature is highly regarded among rescue professionals, resulting in Physio-Control's LIFEPAK line of AEDs being the preferred choice by over 90% of first responders.

The first shock delivered is 200 Joules, and, should the first shock not revive the heart, the LIFEPAK 1000 will then escalate its therapy up to 360 Joules. In support of what rescue and health care professionals have long argued, the 2010 AHA CPR Guidelines now supports the escalating therapy method. This AED is also equipped with Physio-Controls cprMAX technology, enabling rescue personnel to change protocols as standards of care evolve.

Simplicity is key in emergency situations, and as a result, the LIFEPAK 1000 features a large and intuitive display screen for ECG readings and graphics, providing actual resuscitation and integral information in a clear and easy-to-read manner.

It also features an accessible and visible battery gauge, giving you the ability to determine your AEDs battery life with the simple touch of a button. The non-rechargeable battery can deliver more than 425 shocks.
