Philips HeartStart FR3 Infant/Child Key
The Philips HeartStart FR3 Infant/Child Key enables the Philips HeartStart FR3 AED to provide life-saving therapy for pediatric patients.
When the Philips HeartStart FR3 Infant/Child Key is inserted, the Philips FR3 will provide the appropriate therapy for pediatric patients, while also adjusting the AED and CPR instructions for responders.
With the Philips HeartStart FR3 Infant/Child Key, therapy is still delivered via the Philips HeartStart FR3 SMART Pads III, yet at lower Joule level than for adult patients.
AEDs Today strongly recommends first responders and AED programs for schools and community settings in which children are present to enable themselves to provide therapy for pediatric patients. For owners of the Philips HeartStart FR3 AED that may be forced to respond to a scenario of sudden cardiac arrest within an infant or child, the Philips HeartStart FR3 Infant/Child Key is recommended.
