Lives Saved By AEDs
Bedford High School Football champ Chris Cambell survives sudden cardiac
arrest with the help of former player (and now Sheriff) Jeremy Lestock
and ready access to an AED.
The high school junior suffered SCA while participating in routine conditioning drills in preparation for the upcoming football season. Luckily, Sheriff Lestock was near the scene and had an AED within his patrol car for such occasions. The former Bedford football player administered therapy to Cambell on the scene and, through Lestock's quick call to action and ready access to an AED, Cambell survived the incident.
We wish our best to Chris Cambell here at AEDs Today and tip our hats to hero Jeremy Lestock! For more information, check out the full article here: http://www.freep.com/article/20100917/HSS/9170360/Quick-action-former-player-helped-save-Bedford-junior#ixzz105nTPLGW.
